Products

Raw Material Melting & Composition Control
High‑carbon grey cast iron (G3000 / GG15HC) is adopted. Strict chemical‑composition control for carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur and phosphorus elements. Adjust carbon‑equivalent value to achieve required mechanical properties: hardness, tensile strength and thermal‑fatigue resistance. Raw material incoming inspection is carried out for every batch.
Mold Casting
Sand‑casting production line forms brake disc blanks. The internal ventilation vanes of ventilated discs are formed by pre‑placed sand cores. Precise core positioning is critical: mis‑alignment will cause uneven vane thickness, unbalanced weight and poor heat dissipation. After casting, rough blanks go through shake‑out, riser cutting and stress‑relief annealing to eliminate internal casting stress, preventing later‑stage deformation.
Rough Turning
Blank is clamped on CNC lathe. Remove casting skin and excess material; rough‑machine outer diameter, inner bore, mounting hat face and thickness reserve allowance for finish processing.
Finish Turning
Precision turning of mounting surface, center bore, wheel bolt holes and screw holes. Guarantees concentricity of hub hole, flatness of mounting face and position tolerance of bolt holes, to realize OE‑level bolt‑on fit.
Friction‑Surface Grinding
Double‑surface grinding for two braking faces. Tightly controls total thickness variation(TTV) and lateral run‑out. This step directly avoids brake pulsation, steering‑wheel shudder and uneven pad wear.
Deburring & Cleaning
Remove sharp burrs on holes and edges; clean metal chips from internal ventilation channels. Residual metal chips inside vanes will trigger dynamic‑balance failure and abnormal noise.
Anti‑rust Treatment (Only for hat & non‑friction zone)
Options: anti‑rust oil, spray paint, electrophoretic coating, zinc‑rich dust coating.
Manufacturing note: Friction surfaces are fully masked during coating. Paint/oil contamination on friction surfaces is strictly forbidden, otherwise it leads to fading braking performance. Multiple finished colors available: gray(as‑cast), black, bare‑metal silver, golden coating.
Dimension Inspection: Outer diameter, total thickness, center bore, PCD bolt‑hole dimension measured per batch.
Dynamic Balance Testing: Each ventilated disc passes dynamic‑balance correction. Ventilated rotors have complex inner‑vane structure; unbalance weight will cause high‑speed brake vibration.
Hardness Test: Spot‑check hardness of friction surface to ensure stable friction property. Too‑low hardness causes fast wear; over‑high hardness leads to brake noise.
Visual check: Inspect for casting defects: shrinkage cavity, porosity, crack, sand inclusion. Defective blanks are eliminated before finishing.
Qualified units can be packed as individual inner box, export carton, pallet stacking or bulk packing according to customer order. For sea‑going containers, moisture‑proof measures are added to protect discs from salt‑spray corrosion in long‑distance ocean transit.
Stress‑relief annealing for cast blanks, reduces deformation risk under repeated high‑temperature braking. Many low‑cost manufacturers skip this procedure.
Strict sand‑core positioning for ventilated‑vane geometry, uniform air‑channel dimension for consistent heat dissipation.
Double‑surface grinding instead of only turning friction faces.
100% dynamic‑balance inspection for ventilated brake discs.
Full traceability for raw‑material batches.
