WINHERE Black Series Delivers Outstanding Performance as Winhere Origine Motorsport Takes Championship Lead
From May 22 to 24, 2026, Round 2 of the China GT Championship took place at Ningbo International Circuit. Facing one of the most technically demanding circuits in China — known for its high-speed corners and heavy braking zones — Winhere Origine Motorsport continued its strong momentum from the Shanghai season opener.
With excellent teamwork from Leo Ye and Bob Yuan, the No. 96 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) EVO secured double pole positions and double victories, successfully taking the lead in the championship standings.
As one of the most challenging GT circuits in China, Ningbo International Circuit features 22 combinations of high- and low-speed corners, placing extreme demands on aerodynamic balance, tire management, and braking system stability. A total of 25 GT3 cars competed throughout the weekend, with intense wheel-to-wheel battles making consistent high-performance braking a decisive factor in the races.
For this event, professional driver Leo Ye officially joined the team alongside Bob Yuan, forming a new championship-caliber driver pairing. The two drivers have claimed victories in major Asian GT competitions, including the Shanghai 8 Hours and Sepang 12 Hours endurance races, bringing both speed and consistency to the team.
Following an impressive performance at the Shanghai season opener in April, Winhere Origine Motorsport continued its strong form in Ningbo qualifying. In Q1 on Saturday, Leo Ye set the fastest lap of the session with a 1:42.825 to secure pole position for Race 1, while Bob Yuan delivered a 1:43.892 in Q2 to claim pole for Race 2. The team therefore achieved four consecutive pole positions to start the China GT season.
Throughout both races, the No. 96 Porsche maintained complete control of the pace. Whether facing the intense heat on Saturday or the sudden changing weather conditions on Sunday, Leo Ye and Bob Yuan demonstrated exceptional consistency and race execution, ultimately sweeping both overall victories and GT3 Pro-Am National class wins at Ningbo.
After the races, the official China GT media team interviewed championship-winning drivers Leo Ye and Bob Yuan in the pit lane. Adding even more meaning to the weekend, race day also happened to be Leo Ye’s birthday, making the double-victory celebration especially memorable.
Particularly noteworthy was the outstanding performance of WINHERE Black Series under Ningbo’s extremely demanding racing conditions, including continuous heavy braking zones, high temperatures, high humidity, and prolonged wheel-to-wheel competition.
WINHERE Black Series effectively minimized the risk of brake fade under extreme heat and sustained heavy braking, consistently delivering stable, precise, and linear braking performance throughout the races. The system provided the No. 96 Porsche with strong braking confidence and sustained attacking capability, while also demonstrating excellent compatibility and consistency during both vehicle setup adjustments and the later stages of the races when tire degradation became increasingly critical.
Its performance became one of the key factors behind the team’s dominant double-victory weekend.
Looking ahead, Winhere Racing will continue working together with WINHERE Black Series to validate technology through motorsport and demonstrate braking excellence through championship-winning performance.
