On July 13, 2025, the GT World Challenge Asia (GTWC Asia) round at Fuji Speedway concluded with high drama and triumph. WINHERE Harmony Racing’s #96 crew—Deng Yi and Lo Kai Lok—weathered a turbulent weekend to ultimately claim victory in the Silver Class during a chaotic Race 2, earning their second win of the season beneath the iconic Mount Fuji.
Pole Position with Promise, But Race 1 Ends in Disappointment
In Saturday’s qualifying, Lo Kai Lok delivered a stunning 1:38.305 lap to secure pole position. However, in the final moments of Race 1, Deng Yi suffered a tire blowout while charging for the win—robbing the team of a well-earned victory.
Strategic Brilliance and Calm Amid Chaos
Starting from a mid-grid position in Race 2, Deng adopted a cautious yet tactical approach. A major multi-car incident at Turn 1 unfolded immediately after the start, allowing Deng to maneuver cleanly through the chaos and climb eight positions in the opening lap—emerging as the Silver Class leader.
Seamless Execution and Clutch Finish
After the mandatory driver change, the Silver Class time penalty saw the #96 Ferrari rejoin deep in the field. Yet with sharp tactics and consistent pace, Lo Kai Lok regained control. A dramatic crash at the pit entry late in the race brought out the safety car, setting up a one-lap dash. Under immense pressure, Lo held firm and crossed the line P1 in class!
WINHERE Braking Power: The Backbone of Victory
WINHERE’s braking system proved indispensable on Fuji’s demanding layout. With long straights and rapid curves, the team relied on WINHERE’s superior fade resistance and precision feedback—ensuring stability under heavy braking and confidence in key overtaking zones. The performance edge was critical to both lap time gains and strategic defense.
This victory stands as a testament to the drivers’ synergy, strategic clarity, and the team’s refined execution—while further proving WINHERE’s real-world racing strength and technological excellence. After the summer break, the team will resume its campaign at Okayama, ready to write the next chapter of their GT racing story.
