August 30, Okayama, Japan – The opening round of the 2025 GT World Challenge Asia (GTWC Asia) at Okayama Circuit concluded with a historic breakthrough for WINHERE Harmony Racing. The #96 Ferrari 296 GT3, driven by Yi Deng and Luo Kailuo, delivered a dominant performance from qualifying through to the race, ultimately seizing the overall victory and securing the team’s third Silver Cup win of the season.
In the morning qualifying session, lead driver Yi Deng set the pace with a blistering 1:28.368, clinching overall pole position – the team’s third consecutive pole in GTWC Asia. Luo Kailuo followed up with a strong Q2 performance, solidifying the team’s competitive edge heading into the race.
At the start of the afternoon’s main race, Yi Deng defended his lead and steadily pulled away from the field. After the mid-race driver change, despite serving an additional 5-second Silver Cup pit stop penalty, Luo Kailuo maintained the lead, controlling the pace against top international GT drivers. In the final minutes, he extended the gap to over 5 seconds and crossed the finish line first, securing the team’s maiden overall GTWC Asia victory.
This triumph marked a milestone on multiple fronts: Yi Deng achieved an overall win in his debut GTWC Asia season, Ferrari returned to the top step of Asia’s premier GT racing platform after a two-year absence, and the Ferrari 296 GT3 celebrated its first-ever victory in the championship at GTWC. For WINHERE Harmony Racing, this achievement represents a historic breakthrough, underscoring the strength and competitiveness of a Chinese team on the international GT stage.
As the technical heart of the racing car, WINHERE brake systems once again proved their reliability and performance under extreme conditions – from high temperatures to demanding corners – enabling the drivers to push to the limit with confidence. The victory in Okayama reflects not only the drivers’ skill and teamwork but also the precision engineering and support behind the car. Win here with WINHERE Brake!
WINHERE Harmony Racing has set a new benchmark for Chinese motorsport on the global stage. The #96 Ferrari crew will now carry the momentum forward, aiming for even greater success in the races ahead.
