2025 GT World Challenge Asia Season Opener: Winhere Harmony Racing Clinches Silver Cup Runner-Up

The 2025 season of the GT World Challenge Asia (GTWC Asia) officially kicked off at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The first-round race took place on Saturday afternoon, and after an intense battle, Winhere Harmony Racing's No. 96 Ferrari 296 GT3 stood out with a strong performance, securing 6th place overall and 2nd in the Silver Cup out of 32 cars competing in this high-level race.

At the start of the race, Yi Deng showed quick reflexes and launched an aggressive attack, completing multiple overtakes with exceptional race pace and control. Chen Weian, who took over the wheel, maintained a stable performance, executing several key overtakes and successfully bringing the No. 96 car across the finish line.

Yi Deng's outstanding performance was not limited to the early stages of the race. After many of his competitors completed their pit stops, he briefly led the race. However, after the Silver Cup competitors completed their pit stops, Yi Deng made the decision to bring the car into the pits, where Chen Weian took over the car. Once back on track, Chen Weian immediately faced challenges from competitors in other classes. After a series of fierce battles, WINHERE Harmony Racing's brake products showcased their outstanding durability and stability, ensuring the car's brake performance remained strong throughout most of the race without any noticeable decline.

With 18 minutes remaining in the race, Chen Weian, under sustained pressure, forced an opponent to relinquish their position, moving the No. 96 Ferrari to 6th place overall. Chen Weian then maintained a steady pace and brought the car safely to the finish line, ultimately securing 6th place overall and 2nd place in the Silver Cup.

The strong result in the season opener marks a promising start for Winhere Harmony Racing in the new season. The drivers’ seamless cooperation, precise strategy execution, and perfect balance in car setup allowed the team to shine amidst tough competition, earning a strong first-round result.
